$5 million lottery jackpot was just won in this province in Canada

A $5 million lottery jackpot was won in Canada over the weekend.

One ticket matched six out of six numbers in the Lotto 6/49 classic draw Saturday night to win the big prize.

The ticket was sold somewhere in Alberta, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

Other than the jackpot, in the classic draw three tickets got five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win $64,739.30.

One of those tickets was sold in Ontario, another in British Columbia, and the third in Quebec, the WCLC said.

Fifty-six tickets matched five out of six numbers to win $1,456.30.

For the gold ball draw, a white ball was pulled and the guaranteed $1 million prize was handed out.

That went to a ticket sold somewhere in Quebec.

Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw will feature the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as a $16 million gold ball jackpot, or the guaranteed $1 million prize.
