As housing prices drop across Canada, it is getting easier to find less expensive homes in Brampton.
An average, single-family home is still likely to run over $1 million in Brampton but that could change.
The most recent report shows home prices on the decline in Brampton. The median price of a home dropped 6.6 per cent from $1,265,000 in the second quarter of 2022 to $1,181,900 in the third quarter. This is also a 2.2 per cent decrease from the third quarter of 2021 when the median was $1,208,700.
Some experts predict a bottoming out of home prices in the spring of 2023. In a report this month, RBC suggested Ontario’s benchmark prices will decrease by around 16 per cent.
While most single-family homes are around the $1 million mark in Brampton, recently some homes have been selling for well under that price.
