5 Best lookouts outside Mississauga

With everything that’s been happening with the spread of COVID-19, it can be difficult to balance taking measures to avoid contracting and/or spreading the virus, and still getting out and enjoying life.

However, if you want to try and get out and enjoy nature, there are still some things you can do that don’t involve large crowds.

These are the five best lookouts outside Mississauga.


5: Lions Lookout

Located in Huntsville, Lions Lookout is atop a steep trail climb—about 1.5 kms, and once you reach the top, it offers an absolutely stunning view of Huntsville, Fairy Lake, and the Muskokas.

4: Nepean Point

Located at 380 Sussex Drive in the nation’s capital, Nepean Point offers a breathtaking view of the Ottawa River, the city, and a statue of Canada’s founder, Samuel de Champlain.

3: Eagle’s Nest

Located in Bancroft Ontario, the Eagle’s Nest lookout offers an immaculate view of Bancroft and the York River valley.

2: Scarborough Bluffs

Located at 1 Brimley Road South, the Scarborough Bluffs sprawl 15 kilometres and offers an absolutely incredible view of Lake Ontario from cliffs as high as 300 feet.

1: Thompson Point

Located in Niagara Falls, Thompson Point offers some of the most magnificent views of the falls. A cable car even takes viewers directly over the whirlpool that is formed by the falls—the only place where it happens in North America.
