The $40 million LOTTO MAX jackpot from last night’s draw on Friday, February 21, 2025, has been won.
That’s not the only big prize up for grabs—one lucky ticket holder also claimed the Second Prize worth $176,610.40 in the same draw. Even if you didn’t hit the jackpot, you still might be a winner, as 280,156 additional LOTTO MAX prizes were won across Ontario.
This marks the third consecutive LOTTO MAX jackpot win in Ontario in 2025. The year began with a $60 million jackpot won on January 21 with a ticket sold in Etobicoke, followed by a $25 million jackpot claimed in Willowdale on January 31.
Ontario players have been fortunate with LOTTO MAX. In 2024 alone, a record-breaking 11 jackpots were won in the province, totalling an astonishing $525 million in prizes.
Where was the winning ticket sold?
The $40 million jackpot-winning ticket was purchased in Oshawa, while the Second Prize winner bought their ticket in Bowmanville—a city just a short drive away.
Since its launch in 2009, LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won more than $9 billion, including 114 jackpot wins and 937 MAXMILLIONS prizes.
