4-year-old child drowns in a private swimming pool in Caledon

A four-year-old child has died in a drowning at a private swimming pool in Caledon.
Emergency crews rushed to a private residence on Briarwood Drive, in the Town of Caledon for a report of a drowning yesterday (Aug. 20) shortly after 6:30 p.m., the Caledon OPP said in a press release.
A four-year-old child was transported to hospital, but sadly the child was pronounced dead, OPP said.
The OPP is currently investigating the drowning.
