Truck leaves ramp and lands in ditch

Niagara OPP says a collision on Hwy 140 this morning has left a man from Welland in life-threatening condition.

On Saturday (Feb. 25) at approximately 11:00 a.m., police responded to a crash in the area of Hwy 140/Main St Welland that caused the vehicle to enter a ditch.

The driver, a 39-year-old man, suffered injuries and is in critical condition.

Police say the vehicle landed in the ditch after leaving the ramp. Investigations are still going on, but the highway is now open to motorists.
