The indoor walking track at the MacBain Community Centre in Niagara Falls will finally reopen for business, starting this Monday (December 6).

However, unlike the Gale Centre indoor track, which opened some time ago, MacBain will have stricter restrictions to start.

For starters, reservations are needed for sessions, which run every hour between 9 am and 3 pm, and it’s Monday to Friday only. As well, it’s 20 people maximum for each session, meaning a total of just 120 people over the day.

The usual COVID-19 restrictions apply: masks, proof of full vaccination, screening at the door, as well as a few non-pandemic restrictions such as no jogging or running and no access to change rooms.

The Gale Centre indoor walking track is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm, except Thursdays and Fridays when it closes at 6 p.m. Visitors are required to check-in upon arrival, but reservations are not required at the Gale Centre. COVID-19 screening protocols and track rules are the same as for the MacBain Community Centre.

Booking for the MacBain started Monday (November 29) and can be made through the city’s new booking site: http://ACTIVE Net
