Two young offenders have been arrested and a third is being sought by police in connection with an investigation into dozens of break-ins and thefts at commercial businesses in Mississauga the past several months.
Collectively, the three youths face a total of 190 charges in relation to break-ins at more than 35 businesses in the city that were targeted between this past November and January, Peel Regional Police said in a news release on Friday.
So far in what they describe as an “extensive investigation,” dubbed Project Toretto, police have recovered more than $50,000 in stolen property that includes jackets, shoes, perfumes and other cosmetic products.
The goods were seized by officers on Tuesday during the execution of four search warrants at three Mississauga homes and one vehicle, police said. Two arrests were also made at that time.
Investigators added various vehicles, including a 2007 silver Acura RDX and a 2009 Hyundai Elantra, were used during the dozens of break-and-enters.
Peel police Deputy Chief Marc Andrews said clamping down on such crime is a priority in the region.
“Break-and-enters have a real and lasting impact on residents and local businesses, and no one should feel unsafe in their own community,” he said.

Peel Regional Police Deputy Chief Marc Andrews, shown here during a press conference in 2025, says break-and-enters unsettle people in the community.
The two young offenders who were arrested face charges of:
- Break, enter and commit indictable offence.
- Break-and-enter with intent to commit indictable offence.
- Disguise with intent.
- Possession of break-and-enter tools.
- Mischief over $5,000.
Together, they’ve been charged with 140 counts of the three break-and-enter-related offences.
Both were held for a bail hearing, police said.
A third young offender, who police say has been identified, is being sought on charges of:
- Break, enter and commit indictable offence (eight counts).
- Break-and-enter with intent to commit indictable offence (four counts).
- Disguise with intent (12 counts).
- Possession of break-and-enter tools (12 counts).
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, none of those facing charges can be identified.
Anyone with information related to the ongoing investigation is asked to call police at 905-453–2121, ext. 1233, or Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
