A major collision in Brampton early this morning (Aug 20) has taken the lives of three people.

Peel Regional Police received a call around 2 a.m. about a single-vehicle accident in the area of Conestoga Rd. and Elmvale Ave.

Officers believe the vehicle was travelling southbound on Conestoga Dr. when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and crashed into a tree.

Fire and emergency services who first arrived on the scene found the vehicle engulfed in flames.
