Two travellers were arrested and $3.3 million in cocaine seized by border services officers in an incident earlier this month at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
The Canada Border Services Agency told INsauga.com in an email that officers intercepted 27 kilograms of the illegal drug that had arrived on a May 4 flight from the Caribbean island nation of Antigua. The drugs were hidden inside luggage.
The agency added two passengers were arrested and then turned over to the RCMP along with the cocaine.
The CBSA did not provide any additional information about the two people charged.
