27-year-old man dead following highway crash in Hamilton

One man has died following a crash on Highway 8 in Hamilton.

Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash on the highway near Lynden Road, between Sheffield and Rockton, at approximately 5.40 p.m. on Sunday, the Ontario Provincial Police said.

Two passenger vehicles had collided, police said.

A 27-year-old man from Cambridge was pronounced dead at the scene, the OPP said.

Police said a 69-year-old man from Hamilton was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
