Mississauga winner of $250K in lottery.

Mother’s Day just passed and one particular woman in Mississauga continues to enjoy a pretty big gift from her son.

After recently winning the top prize of $250,000 on an Instant Neon Casino game ticket, Mississauga’s James Huynh immediately began thinking about his mom and how he could help her.

The 44-year-old man, who works in the food industry, said his mother was the first person he shared the good news with.

“She said, ‘are you kidding me?’ and when I showed her the ticket, she started to cry and so did I,” Huynh shared while picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I never expected to win this much, and I am thrilled to know what a big win feels like.

“I plan to share this win with my mom and help with her mortgage. I always dreamed of being able to help her this way,” he added.

Huynh said he’s a regular lottery player and loves to play a variety of “Instant Win” games.

“I purchased this ticket because it was new. I played it in the store and thought I won $20,” he said. “When I saw the prize amount, I was shocked and so happy.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Joe’s Variety Plus, on Lake Shore Boulevard in Etobicoke.
