Courtice man charged for impaired driving and evading police

Durham Regional Police have charged a man for driving under the influence and attempting to flee in Clarington.
On Feb. 15, at approximately 10 p.m., police observed a vehicle moving erratically on Townline Rd N/Taunton Rd near the Clarington/Oshawa border.
Police say the driver tried to flee the scene but after a brief pursuit, officers were able to block the vehicle from leaving.
After further investigation police the 24-year-old man, a Courtice resident, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and flight from police.
