A historic home built for a doctor in 1911 in Niagara on the Lake is up for sale.
The home at 238 Four Mile Creek Road in St. Davis is listed for $2,395,000.
The five bedroom home is 3,447 square feet and comes with a massive two-storey barn.
The realtor suggests this home could operate as a bed and breakfast. All five bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms — one has a fireplace.
There are six bathrooms in total in this home.
Built for Dr. Charles E. Duggan in 1911, this home was noted for its heritage attributes in a Niagara on the Lake report.
It is “designated for its age and design,” the report notes.
The style is typical “Four-Square” or Edwardian Classicism. The heritage attributes include the concrete construction, hip roof with a central hipped dormer, and large one-over-one sash windows.
The barn or coach house was built to shelter a horse and carriage Dr. Duggan used for house calls in the town.
The home first went on the market in August and has come down slightly in price.
