22 new COVID cases reported in Halton Region

Halton Region (Burlington, Milton, Oakville, and Halton Hills) is reporting 22 new cases of COVID-19 this afternoon (Sept. 23).

Cases have been reported in all four municipalities.

Burlington is reporting nine additional cases of the virus, while Milton and Oakville are both reporting seven cases. One new case has been found in Halton Hills.

According to the Halton Region’s website, there are 149 active cases of COVID-19 throughout the region currently, with 68 in Burlington, 35 in Milton, 42 in Oakville, and four in Halton Hills.

The region has documented a total of 19,317 cases of the virus throughout the pandemic and 241 deaths have occurred.

On the vaccine front, percentages remain the same with 85 per cent of the population receiving a single dose of vaccine and 81 per cent receiving two doses. A total of 863,149 doses have been administered in the region.
