20-year-old impaired and speeding driver arrested in Niagara

Niagara Police have charged a driver for speeding on the QEW while being impaired and failing to stop.
On Sunday (Feb.12) at approximately, 3:30 a.m., Police responded to a car after it hit a guardrail on the QEW near Hwy 405 and tried to flee the scene.
Police say the vehicle was stunt driving and travelling over the required limit.
Further investigations revealed the driver’s alcohol intake was over 80 which is two times the legal limit.
The 20-year-old whose identity has not been shared has been taken into custody and charged with impaired driving.
Police are advising motorists to practice safe driving.
