20 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Halton

Halton Region (Oakville, Burlington, Milton, and Halton Hills) is reporting 20 cases of COVID-19 today (September 22), marking the smallest daily case number for the region in the past seven days.

Of the 20 cases, five have been reported in Burlington, eight in Oakville, five in Milton, and two in Halton Hills.

According to the Halton Region’s website, there are currently 155 active cases throughout the region, with 74 in Burlington, 41 in Oakville, 35 in Milton, and five in Halton Hills.

Throughout the pandemic, a total of 19,295 cases have been diagnosed.  The region has recorded 241 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

According to the website, 81 per cent of residents are fully vaccinated and 85 per cent have received at least one dose.

A total of 861,802 doses of vaccine have been administered in Halton.

There are currently two ongoing outbreaks at workplace locations in Halton. These outbreaks are linked to a total of 20 cases of COVID-19.
