2 vehicle crash leads to impaired charges for Caledon driver

A two-vehicle crash led to impaired charges for a Caledon driver on the weekend.

Emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 50 and Old Church Road around 9 p.m. on Oct. 29, OPP said in a press release.

Minor injuries were reported in the collision, police said.

One driver faces charges.

Ralph Zilli, 57, of Caledon, was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available, police said.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on Nov. 16.

The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle impounded for seven.
