2 vehicle crash closes lane on Hwy. 401 in Mississauga

A two-vehicle crash closed a lane on Hwy. 401 in Mississauga on Monday afternoon.

A car collided with a transport truck in the eastbound collector lanes of Hwy. 401 just past Mississauga Road, OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said in a tweet.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 23).

“The car got spun around, got clipped by this transport truck,” said Schmidt.

There were no injuries reported.

The left lane of the collectors was closed for a short time for the clean-up, he added.

“Please slow down, drive safe,” Schmidt said. “Roads are dry, conditions are great but things happen fast.”
