2 vehicle collision caused by impaired driver in Brampton

Peel Regional Police respond to reports of a two-vehicle collision in Brampton.

Police received a call around 12:20 p.m. today (July 3) about a collision in the area of Steels Ave. West and McLaughlin Rd.

Witnesses say one driver was seen walking away from the scene.

Police apprehended the fleeing driver, and he is currently in custody for impaired related charges.

There are no physical injuries to either driver reported.

Motorists are asked to avoid the scene as emergency crews continue to clear the area.
