2 people sent hospital, pole knocked down in a crash at a Brampton intersection

Two people were sent to hospital after an early morning crash in Brampton.

The two-vehicle crash happened at Humberwest Parkway and Cotrelle Boulevard in Brampton around 5:30 a.m., Peel Regional Police said in a tweet.

One vehicle hit a pole and it was knocked down onto the roadway.

A man and woman were sent to hospital, police said. 

Northbound Humberwest Parkway at Williams Parkway, and southbound Humberwest Parkway at  Castlemore Road were closed.

Police asked drivers to use alternate routes.
