2 men now face attempted murder charges after Brampton attack

Two men who face attempted murder charges, in connection with an attack at a home in Brampton two months ago, have had their first court appearance.
The Peel Regional Police said tonight (Feb. 14) that the both men have had a bail hearing after being arrested by criminal investigators. The investigation began on Dec. 12, when according to police, a male allegedly broke into a house in The Gore Rd. / Cottrelle Blvd. area, and attempted to suffocate the victim inside.
“The suspect was confronted inside the residence and made good on their escape,” a statement by Peel police says. “The victim suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Officers determined this was an isolated incident.
“Following an extensive investigation, police identified two suspects.”
Khaddre Stewart-Wallace, a 30-year-old man from Toronto, was arrested on Feb. 1. He faces the following criminal charges:
- Attempted murder
- Break, enter and commit an indictable offence
- Chokes, suffocates or strangles
Keerthigan Pulendran, age 31 and also of Toronto, was arrested on Dec. 14. He faces the following criminal charges;
- Attempted murder
- Break, enter and commit an indictable offence
- Chokes, suffocates or strangles
- Administering noxious substance
- Possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl)
