2 Hamilton men charged in shooting at The Playground Global in Burlington

Halton Police have charged two suspects in connection to the shooting at The Playground Global in Burlington.
On Friday Feb. 10, 2023, at approximately 3:10 p.m., officers arrested Kheat Simon of Hamilton.
It is alleged that on the day of the shooting, the 21-year-old man operated the vehicle which he and the shooter used to flee the scene.
Police say Simon has been charged with 3 counts of attempted murder.
On the same day,(Feb. 10) at 7:15 p.m., officers arrested 20-year-old Olupelumi Falodun of Hamilton. Police believe he is the person responsible for the shooting on Feb. 6.
Falodum has been charged with 3 counts of attempted murder and the discharge of a firearm with intent.

Investigators say although they have recovered the firearm that was used in the shooting, the motive behind it is still unknown and the victim is in serious condition at the hospital.
Both suspects are held in custody and awaiting a bail hearing.
