2-car crash closes intersection in Mississauga

A two-car crash on Thursday afternoon has shut down an intersection in Mississauga’s north end, police say.

Peel Regional Police said minor injuries resulted from the collision, which occurred at around 2:30 p.m. at McLaughlin Road and Derrydale Drive, just north of Derry Road.

The intersection of McLaughlin Road and Derrydale Drive has been closed to motorists for the cleanup and police investigation. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

There’s no word yet on any charges or what may have caused the collision, police said.
