Customers will get more travel options as two major Canadian airlines expand their partnership.
Transat and Porter Airlines will be launching new Transat packages that use Porter’s non-stop flights to Nassau, Grand Cayman, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta, according to a press release.
The packages will feature a selection of hotels in the destinations, along with all-inclusive or European plan offerings depending on the property.
Air Transat and Porter signed a joint venture at the end of 2023.
“Our partnership with Transat is reaching a new milestone. Porter’s initial entry into traditional south vacation markets with an air-only product this season was a huge success,” said Edmond Eldebs, the senior vice president and chief commercial officer of Porter Airlines.
“The introduction of packages gives Canadian travellers another seamless way to experience Porter’s elevated flying experience paired with Transat’s trusted package expertise.”
New packages will be made available from Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa for travel starting on Nov. 1.
Some destinations that are served by both carriers, like Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, will have packages with more flight options operated by either Transat or Porter.
“These additions mark a significant enhancement to Transat’s South destination portfolio,” said Transat’s vice president of tour operator products Renée Boisvert.
“Through our partnership with Porter Airlines, we’re expanding our reach with sought-after destinations like Nassau and George Town, while giving travellers more ways to build the trip that suits them best.”
“As Porter continues to expand its sun network across Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, passengers can build the vacation package that works best for them,” the release added.
