19 break and enters in Mississauga and Brampton; man has been charged

A man has been taken into custody, facing multiple charges related to break-and-enter incidents in Mississauga and Brampton from 2023, along with additional unrelated charges.

Peel Regional Police say from July 2 to Dec. 3, several break-ins were reported with the targets being restaurants and other businesses across the region.

Investigators have refrained from disclosing the names of businesses reportedly targeted by the alleged culprit and have not provided details regarding whether any valuables were taken or the extent of the losses.

With assistance from Toronto Police Services, the investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Christopher Hann, of no fixed address.

Hann has been charged with 19 counts of breaking and entering as well as 4 counts of using a disguise with intent.

In addition police say, Hann was arrested on outstanding warrants. Some of those charges include two counts of uttering death threats, two counts of breaching probation, criminal harassment, sexual harassment, mischief over $5000 and theft of a motor vehicle.

Hann was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
