18-year-old dead following single-vehicle crash in West Lincoln

Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that took place in the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 4 in the Niagara-area township of West Lincoln.
Niagara Regional Police say they received a call regarding the crash, which occurred in the Caistor Gainsborough Townline Road and Sixteen Road area, shortly before 1:00 am. Police say that officers, fire crews and paramedics arrived on scene and found that a pickup truck drove off the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire.
A male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the deceased has been identified as an 18-year-old man from West Lincoln.
His identity is not being released at this time.
All roads in the area have since reopened.
