17-year-old Hamilton driver charged with stunt driving

Hamilton Police Service charge two teens for stunt driving in two separate, unrelated incidents in Hamilton.

Officers were patrolling in the area of Garth St. near Stone Church Rd. last night (June 4) when they nabbed a 17-year-old driver travelling at excessive speed in a grey Cadillac.

The young driver was charged with stunt driving and received a 30-day license suspension and 14-day vehicle impoundment.

A short time later, police charged a second teen in an unrelated traffic stop.

The 19-year-old driver was also charged with stunt driving.

Their vehicle was impounded for 14 days and their license suspended for 30 days.

Hamilton Police encourage drivers to slow down as they say this area is known for heavy pedestrian traffic.
