A 14-year-old Burlington teen is facing charges after a pair of incidents earlier this week.

According to Halton Regional Police, on Tuesday, Sept. 27, around 4:45 p.m., a 15-year-old male was with a friend on foot near the intersection of Upper Middle Rd. and Brant St.

They were approached by another male teen, who brandished a knife and demanded the victim’s hoodie. The victim did not give the hoodie up, and instead proceeded to a nearby Tim Hortons, police say.

While inside the coffee shop, the knife-wielding teen approached the victim again, put the weapon to his throat and demanded the hoodie a second time.

The culprit then fled the scene as there were several witnesses. A minor injury was sustained by victim.

Earlier in the day, a 13-year-old male was threatened with a knife and assaulted in the same area.
