Update: 12-year-old Mississauga youth reported missing

A 12-year-old girl was reported missing near her home in Mississauga on Monday afternoon (Oct. 18).

Officers from the 12 Division criminal investigation bureau of the Peel Regional Police are asking for assistance from the public in locating Amelia Turner. She was last seen at her residence just before 2 p.m. on Oct. 18 in the area of Darcel Avenue and Etude Drive.

Update, 7:20 p.m.

Turner “was located in good health,” the Peel police stated, adding. “Thank you to the news outlets and public for your assistance.”

Turner is described as female and five-foot-eight with a heavy build. She has shoulder-length brown hair that is red and brown in the front. She was last seen carrying a laptop case or backpack.
