$12 million lottery jackpot won in Ontario

A major lottery jackpot was won in Ontario over the weekend.

In the Lotto 6/49 gold ball draw, a gold ball was pulled and the $12 million jackpot was handed out.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said the ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.

“Since the ticket was purchased online, the winner has already received an email letting them know they’ve won the $12 million prize,” the OLG said.

“We’re eager to meet Ontario’s next multimillionaire when they step forward to claim their prize.”

The OLG said there were also two winning Encore tickets from the 6/49 draw — one sold in Toronto and the other in Oxford County.

For the classic draw, no one matched all six numbers to win the $5 million jackpot.

Also, no tickets got five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win the second-place prize.

Gold ball draw ($12 million jackpot): 57357280-01

Classic draw: 09 27 30 33 45 47 Bonus 20

Encore: 4285167

Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw will feature the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as the gold ball jackpot at $10 million, or a $1 million prize.
