One hundred doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are available at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Mississauga on Friday (June 4).

The Applewood Village location (1077 North Service Rd.) will have walk-in appointments from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to Vaccine Hunters Canada. First dose appointments are on offer to anyone age 18 and up, and second dose vaccinations are available for healthcare workers who are considered to be a high risk to contract COVID-19.

Two Wal-Mart locations in Mississauga also have limited doses of Moderna available on Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone seeking a COVID-19 vaccination should bring their Ontario health card, or another form of government-issued identification. They should not go to an appointment if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

The province on Thursday gave Ontarians who received the AstraZeneca vaccine as a first dose to begin booking their appointment for a second dose, with the option to get an mRNA vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer).
