A Burlington driver received more than he bargained for when he was pulled over by police yesterday (March 7).

Halton Regional Police say an officer on road patrol followed the car as it sped passed several other vehicles on Guelph Line near Hwy. 2.

At one point the vehicle was travelling well over 100 km/h, and that’s when the driver was stopped by the officer.

Once pulled over, the driver was found to have a few more infractions.

Along with being charged with the speeding offence, the driver had his car impounded, faces a 30 days suspension of his driver’s license as well as receiving tickets for having an obstructed license plate and for having an improper muffler that creates too much noise.

The name of the driver has not been released.
