10 neighbourhoods where homes are selling fast in the Greater Toronto Area

While home sales have dropped across Ontario, there are places where properties are selling fast.

Home sales in February fell to their lowest level in more than a year — down 10.4 per cent compared with the same month last year — amid the uncertainty created by the trade war with the United States, the Canadian Real Estate Association said on Monday.

The pullback in sales was most pronounced in the Greater Toronto Area, CREA said.

Some real estate experts hope the Bank of Canada interest rate cut will boost the market but there are some areas in the GTA where homes are already selling quickly.

Those looking to buy a home may want to look at a new report from digital real estate platform Wahi.

Wahi looked at the average number of days a property stayed on the market in GTA neighbourhoods with five or more sales in February and found the areas where homes are selling the fastest.

In these neighbourhoods homes were selling in under two weeks so people may have to move quickly to get the property they want.
