Video: Driver escapes truck fire on Hwy. 401 near Pearson Airport in Mississauga

A truck driver escaped a fire on Highway 401 near Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
The transport truck was engulfed in fire on Highway 401 in the eastbound lanes today (July 27), just past Dixie Road, said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt in a tweet around 1:30 p.m.
“The driver got out alright,” said Schmidt.
Schmidt said it looked like the fire started in the truck cab.
The incident has backed up traffic on the highway approaching Renforth Drive.
Drivers can expect delays in both the express and collectors lanes during the cleanup.

Firefighters were working on hot spots but Schmidt believed it should be cleaned up within an hour.
