VIDEO: Car fire in Brampton snarls traffic on the 410

Traffic has been slowed and two lanes have been blocked on Hwy 410 in Brampton as crews battled a car fire on Friday (March 3).

A video posted on Twitter shows a large plume of smoke coming from a vehicle on the shoulder of southbound Hwy 410 near the Queen St. exit while emergency vehicles and firefighters can be seen tackling the blaze.

Two right hand lanes have reportedly been blocked while emergency crews are on the scene. Drivers should avoid the area or find alternate routes if possible.

A spokesperson with Peel Paramedics said no injuries have been reported.
