Residents will soon have the opportunity to learn more about a new skatepark in Georgetown at an upcoming virtual design workshop.

The Town is currently working with New Line Skateparks to replace the skatepark at Mold-Masters Sportsplex, located at 221 Guelph St. in Georgetown with a new community-sized skatepark.

Over the last few months, residents were encouraged to complete a survey to provide their input on the park’s design. This was the first of three stages of the consultation process.

During the upcoming virtual workshop, residents will have the opportunity to join Town staff and New Line Skateparks to review and provide feedback on the preferred concept for the skatepark’s replacement.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring with completion anticipated in the summer pending approval of the 2022 Capital Budget.
