The Town of Milton will be hosting a virtual information session for Treaties Recognition Week, which is coming up soon.

Treaties Recognition Week, which takes place each year in the first week of November, honours the importance of treaties while aiming to educate individuals about treaty rights and relationships.

This week is an annual acknowledgement that also provides the greater population the opportunity to have a better understanding of the subject matter.

This year, the Town of Milton will be hosting a virtual event in partnership with the Milton Historical Society, that will allow viewers to learn about local Indigenous history, land acknowledgement and treaties.

The virtual event, presented by Darin Wybenga, Traditional Knowledge and Land Use CoordinatorMississaugas of the Credit First Nation, will take place on Nov. 4 at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.
