A hangover is usually the experience of various unpleasant effects following consumption of alcohol, which can last for more than 24 hours unless of course you have one of these huge breakfast dishes below in Mississauga.

5 – Daylight Grill

“Big Breakfast Special” – Sausage, bacon, peameal bacon, 3 eggs, pancakes, toast and hone fries.

Located in a plaza on the south-west corner of Southdown and Winston Churchill is a one off non-franchise place called Daylight Grill. This place is open from 6am to 3pm daily so you know this place specializes in breakfast. We ordered the BIG breakfast special that came with sausage, bacon, peameal bacon, 3 eggs, pancakes, toast and hone fries. The service is super friendly and we had left overs!

4 – Bobby’s Hideaway

“Weekender”– Bacon, Ham & Sausage, 3 Eggs, 2 Pancakes, home fries, Texas Toast & coffee or Tea

With dishes like the 1/2 pounder, Big Bobby, Weekender and Steak & Eggs, you can count on Bobby’s Hideaway to offer meaty, full-sized breakfast meals that are rich in protein, along with all of the heavy carbohydrates to match it. On a slightly lighter note, Bobby’s also offers omelettes, egg’s Benny’s, waffles, and pancakes. They also have 13 interesting side plate options such as peameal bacon, and spicy italian sausage. Voted Streetsville’s most popular breakfast restaurant for 5 years, this local hotspot serves up great family recipes. Sundays are a mad mess of church-goers and locals, so be sure to wake up extra early to avoid line ups.

3 – Bounty

The Meatlovers Breakfast – Two pieces of bacon, sausage, peamal bacon, ham, toast, hashbrowns and three eggs of your choice!

Literally located on the border of Mississauga on Dundas East by Etobicoke is a hidden all-day breakfast joint called Bounty. This place has been around for about 20 years and the server told us it used to be a John Anderson years ago. This mammoth meat dish comes with almost every type of breakfast meat known to man. It comes with two pieces of bacon, sausage, peamal bacon, ham, toast, hashbrowns and three eggs of your choice!

2 – Skyway Jacks

“Super Jack” – 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, 3 sausages, 2 slices of Peameal bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast

Skyway Jacks claims to be “Home of the Healthy Portion” and I concur! It’s the place to be if you’re hungry and you don’t want to break the bank, and it’s definitely one of the best all-day breakie joints located in an inconspicuous plaza in Streetsville.  If you are super hungry, get the “Super Jack”, especially for that super hangover. It comes with 3 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, 3 sausages, 2 slices of Peameal bacon, breakfast potatoes and toast – all for just $9.99. Skyway is an eclectic local favorite with character, the staff – super friendly and my coffee mug was never empty. It gets pretty busy at Skyway’s so if you time your drive there right, you will miss the senior morning rush, the regular morning rush, the church goers, and the hangover rush. Even with a wait, it’s well worth it once you dig in.

1 – Captain Robin’s

“The Country Skillet” –  The Country Style Skillet comes with their famous hash browns, bacon, ham, sausage and back bacon that is topped with scrambled eggs, a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and smothered in hollandaise sauce. The carmelized onions intertwined with the shoe string like hashbrowns.

Located in the heart of Port Credit beside the Starbucks is Captain Robin’s Family Restaurant. If breakfast of gigantic portions are your thing, then this place is for you. Captain Robin’s has all the classic breakfast dishes with fun local names like the “Port Credit Breakfast Platter” which consists of 2 pancakes, 4 large eggs, a double serving of their famous hash browns and Texas toast. The Country Style Skillet (as seen above) comes with their famous hash browns, bacon, ham, sausage and back bacon that is topped with scrambled eggs, a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheese, and smothered in hollandaise sauce. The caramelized onions intertwined with the shoe string like hash browns makes them one of the best in the city.
