A popular Oakville restaurant has announced its closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tavolo Pizza Pasta Wine, a restaurant part of Catch Hospitality Group, recently announced its permanent closure in a heartfelt Facebook post.

“After eight months of being shuttered, I am heartbroken to announce that we have made the difficult decision to close Tavolo Pizza Pasta Wine permanently,” said Doug Greco, Catch Hospitality group’s president in a letter posted to Tavolo’s Facebook page.

“Since COVID came into our lives last March, we have been trying to make sense of our next step at the South Oakville Mall and unfortunately, this is the only choice we are left with.”

The post stated they were “heartbroken” to announce the decision to close Tavolo permanently and thanked their guests and staff for a memorable seven years.
Tavolo dishes will still be available for order on SkipTheDishes by searching “Catch Hospitality.”
