Popular Oakville hiking, sporting goods store closing for good

A popular Oakville hiking store is closing its doors after more than 20 years in business.
Hikers Haven, located at 166 South Service Rd., E., will officially close on July 31
Customers raved about the staff and the many camping and outdoor brands that were available at the store.
“Excellent, helpful service staff with a great variety of top-tier outdoor brands,” Jennifer Yellin said on the Hikers Haven website. “Also very patient with questions and offering advice for novices.”
The sporting goods store sells everything from camping and outdoor gear to canoe, kayaks and standup paddle boards, as well as footwear and clothing for men and women.
The store will be holding a sale on items with a special final sale on July 16 of their summer and winter rental gear.

Hikers Haven store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
