A street robbery at a Burlington park has Halton police hunting a pair of suspects.

The incident took place on Oct. 21 at 10:30 p.m.

Officers were sent to Orchard Community Park, near Blue Spruce Ave. and Sutton Dr, for a robbery.

That’s in the Upper Middle Rd. and Appleby Line area.

A large group of youths told police they were in the park when they were approached by two unknown suspects.

One of the suspects – wearing a camouflage bandana covering his face – indicated they were possibly armed by gesturing toward a weapon concealed in his waistband.

Both suspects demanded that the groups empty their pockets, say police, and the victims turned over their cell phones, jewelry and student ID cards.

The suspects fled the scene and may have approached a second group of youths where they made a similar demand.

No one was injured.

The first suspect is described as male, black, between 18-to-25- years-old, standing 6-feet, weighing 200 pounds. He wore a black camouflage bandana that covered his face, a grey hoodie, and dark pants.

The second suspect  is described as male, black, light-skinned, 18-to-25- years-old, standing 5-foot-7 with a thin build.  He was wearing a black hoodie and sweatpants.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact Det. Phil Vandenbeukel with 3 District’s criminal investigations bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2343.
