A 45-year old Oakville driver with a heavy foot won’t be able to weather the consequences and will now be without his high-priced sports car for a while.

Halton Regional Police Cst. Marc Taraso was parked on the side of Dundas Street in Oakville around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday night when he was suddenly made aware of a fast approaching white coloured Lamborghini.

“Heard a hurricane approaching,” Taraso said.

The Halton Cst. activated his radar and found the driver was doing “144 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone.”

The driver was stopped and is now facing stunt driving and speeding charges.

The Oakville man’s licence has been suspended for 30 days and his white Lamborghini impounded for 14 days.
