New Openings: Old School Bar & Grill

Old School Bar & Grill is a new nostalgic sports themed bar located in the old legendary Club 108 unit along Dixie Road.
Major sporting events (UFC, boxing, playoffs, etc.) will be played on the numerous televisions you’ll find throughout the resto.
Old School is more than just a sports bar – it’s an entertainment facility that offers a variety of activities including vintage pinball machines (Tales From The Crypt, Terminator 2), vintage arcade game console’s (Ms. Pac Man, Galaga, Virtua Cop, NFL Blitz), two pool tables, board games, jitz table and a dart board. Additional game consoles will be made available as they are refurbished. Diners can also bring in their own board games and the wifi is free.
The decor in the large space takes it back to the old school and the concept was created to fill a void in Mississauga. “Old School is a place that reminds you of your youth” says the restaurants’ marketing/creative manager, Albar Hasan.
There is a large custom designed bar which can seat 40+. Every table top in the restaurant was designed by Hassan and it includes a collage of a random mix of vintage images such as concert and movie posters, advertisements and TV guides. There is also a juke box with a music selection from the 1990’s and pre-90’s.

The space also has two areas set up as a living room equipped with a number of seats, a big screen TV, PS4, Xbox and Gaming Live console with both new and old games such as Super Mario Bro’s, QBert and Sonic The Hedgehog.
Food Menu: The seasonal menu includes a number of freshly made salads, wings, appetizers, mains and desserts and the menu is free of anything frozen. The mains include chicken fingers made from scratch (freshly cut and house battered chicken breast); coney island corn dog (grilled handmade sausage, dipped in batter and deep fried); Mario’s baked penne (penne with house made meatballs smothered in a secret marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella); georgia’s chicken & waffles (crunchy southern fried chicken breast served on a freshly made giant waffle drizzled with 100% pure maple syrup); brontosaurus ribs (Jurassic size beef ribs marinated for 24 hours texas bbq style).
Drink Menu: Specialty juices and smoothies made to order, beer and liquor.
What’s Up and Coming? Display cases will house random vintage items which will be for sale (i.e. toys, old rotary phone, movie posters and more). Additional nostalgic arcade games. Grand opening weekend TBA.
