Mississauga Celebration Square celebrates one million visits this month with a special “Thanks A Million” campaign.  Beginning this weekend, the public is invited to leave a message of thanks on a giant chalkboard wrap installed on the Square throughout the month of October.

“We want to give a big thank you to the public who have made Mississauga Celebration Square one of the GTA’s premier event destinations,” said Frank Giannone, chair, Mississauga Celebration Square Events Committee.  “The residents and visitors who play in the fountain in the summer, skate on the ice rink in the winter and come to the events year-round have made the Square what it is.”

“One million visitors is a significant milestone for Mississauga Celebration Square,” said Paul Damaso, manager, Mississauga Celebration Square.  “In just 16 months, the Square has attracted great local talent, vibrant community festivals and some of the most popular entertainment acts.  We couldn’t have achieved this success without the support of the public.”

The Thanks A Million chalkboard wrap will cover the glass pavilion throughout the month of October.  Residents are encouraged to visit the Square and write a message stating what they are most thankful for.

Mississauga Celebration Square has hosted an array of diverse events, including Canada Day, Tree Lighting, New Year’s Eve, Summer on the Square, Memorial Cup and numerous community festivals.
