Man drowns in indoor pool at Oakville condo

An elderly man is dead after drowning in an indoor pool at an Oakville condo building on Thursday morning (Aug. 3).

The incident occurred just shortly before 10 a.m. at a condo building located at 2180 Marine Dr.

The man, reported to be in his late 60s or early 70s, was pulled without any vital signs from the indoor pool.

Halton Region Paramedics arrived at the building and administered CPR, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Halton Regional Police are investigating the drowning and are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call them at 905-825-4747.
