A man has died after a report of a drowning at a Mississauga condo building pool.
Emergency crews responded to a call for a possible drowning of an adult in the Aquitaine Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard area around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, a Peel Paramedics spokesperson told INsauga.com.
A 40-year-old man who was purportedly unconscious after being underwater for several minutes at an outdoor pool, a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services arrived first on the scene and started CPR on an adult male, a spokesperson told INsauga.com.
“Despite first responders and citizens’ best efforts in attempting to revive the individual, he succumbed to his injuries,” police said in an emailed statement.
Police said they are not investigating the incident as a suspicious death and suspect the man died as a result of natural causes, however; this will not be confirmed until a post-mortem has been completed.
