The Milton fire department is issuing a reminder to residents with fire hydrants on their properties.

Due to the recent heavy snowfall in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the Milton fire department is reminding residents with fire hydrants on their properties to help keep them clear of snow, ice and other obstructions.

Additionally, they are reminding the community to help clear fire hydrants in the neighbourhood that may be covered in snow.

“If you have a fire hydrant on your property or see one in your neighbourhood covered in snow, please help us out by keeping it clear of snow and ice,” said the Milton fire department on Twitter.
