Here’s an Exciting Holiday Opportunity For Oakville Students

An exciting opportunity has come up for Oakville students.

Mayor Rob Burton is asking students for their help with designing his 2018 Holiday Card.

Mayor Rob Burton is asking students for their help with designing his 2018 Holiday Card.

Young artists are encouraged to submit an original piece of art that illustrates a Christmas scene or event in the town.

Submissions must be accompanied by an entry form (download and print by visiting www.Oakville.ca/Mayor) which is to be completed and signed by a parent and/or guardian of the artist. 

Contact information as well as the artist’s name and age must be included. 

Original entries are to be submitted in the form of a drawing, sketch, or painting.

Entries must meet the following requirements: 

  • Minimum size of original artwork – 4” x 6”. 
  • Maximum size of original artwork – 8.5” x 11”. 
  • Acceptable materials include paper or canvas, do not fold them.

Finished artwork, accompanied with a signed entry form and signed consent form, can be submitted in person at ServiceOakville or by regular mail to Lisa Wedmann, Mayor’s Office, 1225 Trafalgar Rd., Oakville, ON L6H 0H3. 

Mailed entries have to be received prior to the submission deadline. 

Copies of these entry details and additional entry forms can be found at ServiceOakville inside the main entrance at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Rd., and at all town facilities. 

The submission deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at 5 p.m.

Two winners will be chosen – one from the Grade 1- 5 level and one from the Grade 6 – 8 level.
