Halton police offering March break program for teens in Burlington, Oakville, Milton

If you’re a teen in Burlington, Milton, Oakville or Halton Hills and looking for a March break activity, check out what the Halton police are offering.

The Halton Regional Police Service Youth Engagement Team recently announced a new, free program running this March Break.

The Job Ready Program is a ProAction Cops & Kids initiative to help students between the ages of 14 and 17 in Halton Region gain the skills and knowledge to help make them desirable candidates for the workforce.

Job Ready will run from March 13 – 15 and participation is required all three days.

Key topics covered include:

  • First Aid & CPR-C certification
  • Resume building, interview experience
  • An opportunity to attend as a group to provide community service hours, which can be applied to those required for high school
  • 1-on-1 mentorship from a Halton police youth engagement Officer

Lunch will be provided on the final day of the program.
